3255. Blood, Sweat & Tears - And When I Die

From: Blood, Sweat & Tears; Year: 1968; Genre: Blues Rock/Jazz Fusion
After hearing some of their music the other day and subsequently having it stuck in my mind I once again I was surprised that I had found another band I liked that I had not picked a song from.
Anyway, this one is a bit schizophrenic in construction, but in an interesting and wonderful way. The slow and loping bluesy verses, which launchs into a jazzy gospelesque pre-chorus and continues into the chorus where it comes to a climax and abruptly starts over.
